NOVAGA members.

As President of the NOVAGA, I am looking forward to this program year. September 21, 2005 begins NOVAGA's 2005-2006 program year. The first meeting is:

Building Strong Controls through Risk Management

Alexandria Embassy Suites, Registration 5:15-6:00 pm, Meeting 6:00-7:00 pm

$15 for members includes hot and cold appetizers 5:15-6:00

Pam Varner is Project Manager, Data Mining Division, Office of the Inspector General, Department of Defense. The division has made great strides in identifying control issues with government purchase, travel, and fuel cards using data mining techniques. The OIG's data mining division was established in January 2002. Ms. Varner's presentation will be both informative and entertaining.

I hope that you will join us on Wednesday the 21st. The Embassy Suites in Old Town Alexandria is right across Diagonal Road from the King Street subway at 1900 Diagonal Rd. Hotel Parking is $3 after 5:00 pm.
